KSA - ZATCA PHASE 2

PIH Mismatch & ICV Sequence Gaps

The Challenge

ZATCA Phase 2 requires an unbroken chain: each invoice references the Previous Invoice Hash (PIH) and carries a sequential Invoice Counter Value (ICV). In multi-till, multi-branch retail operations with concurrent transactions, this chain breaks easily - and once it breaks, every subsequent invoice fails until it’s repaired.

Our Approach

dsConnectMW runs a dedicated branch/till-level sequencing engine that assigns ICVs and chains PIH values in strict order, even when hundreds of tills are transacting concurrently across dozens of branches.

Outcome & Impact

Hash-chain integrity has held across 305+ POS branches operating simultaneously - the exact condition under which PIH/ICV failures are most common industry-wide.
